Assessor qualifications

1. Internal auditor

Specialized knowledge

• Good knowledge of quality tools and methods (e.g. VDA MLA, DoE, FMEA, FTA, PPA, SPC, SWOT, 8D Methodology)

• Knowledge of management system-related requirements (e.g. IATF 16949, DIN EN ISO 9001, VDA 6.1)

• Product and process-specific knowledge

Evidence of specialized training

• Knowledge of quality tools and methods required in the technology being evaluated

Professional experience

Minimum of 03 years of professional experience (after 02 years of professional experience, an apprenticeship period at the company may be considered for additional consideration), preferably at manufacturing companies in the automotive industry, including at least 1 year of experience in quality management

2. Auditors evaluate suppliers

Specialized knowledge

• Excellent knowledge of quality tools and methods (e.g. SPC, VDA Volume 5/MSA, FMEA, VDA MLA/APQP, VDA Volume 2/PPAP, 8D Methodology)

• If required, knowledge of software development processes and methods.

• Auditor qualifications (negotiation, conflict management, audit procedures)

• Knowledge of relevant customer-specific requirements

• Knowledge of management system-related requirements (e.g. IATF 16949, DIN EN ISO 9001, VDA 6.1)

• Product and process-specific knowledge

Evidence of specialized training

• Auditor qualifications based on DIN EN ISO 19011 (e.g. VDA Auditor Qualification, first/second party auditor for DIN EN ISO 9001, IATF 16949 or VDA 6.1)

• Knowledge of quality tools and methods required in the technology being evaluated

• Successfully participate in the VDA 6.3 training course (pass the written and oral exam successfully)

• Evidence of ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practice (e.g. observations during inspection/approval and witness examination)

Professional experience
