E1) Company commitment
E1.1 Establish appropriate and effective policies or a code endorsed by executive management, covering A) Labor, B) Health and Safety, C) Environment and D) Ethics.
E2) Management accountability and responsibility
E2.1 Clearly define and assign adequate responsibilities and authority to personnel at all levels, from senior management to workers, for implementing the management system and complying with applicable laws, regulations and Code requirements covering Labor, Health and Safety, Environment and Ethics.
E2.2 Establish an adequate and effective management-review and continual-improvement process for performance and management systems in Labor, Health and Safety, Environment and Ethics.
E3) Legal and customer requirements
E3.1 Establish an adequate and effective process to monitor, identify, understand and ensure compliance with laws, regulations and customer requirements relating to Labor, Health and Safety, Environment and Ethics.
E4) Risk assessment and risk management
E4.1 Establish an appropriate and effective risk-management process to identify, assess and mitigate, reduce or control risks in Labor, Health and Safety, Environment and Ethics.
E5) Improvement objectives
E5.1 Establish an adequate and effective performance-management process for Labor, Health and Safety, and Ethics. Set performance objectives and improvement targets, develop and implement improvement plans, regularly review progress and make appropriate adjustments when needed.

E6.1 Establish an adequate and effective training process for managers and workers on relevant policies, procedures, job-related matters and performance objectives covering Labor, Health and Safety, Environment and Ethics.
E7) Communication
E7.1 Establish an adequate and effective reporting and communication process for workers, managers, suppliers and customers on policies, practices and performance relating to Labor, Environment and Ethics.
E8) Worker feedback and participation
E8.1 Establish an adequate and effective grievance process through which workers can confidentially raise work-related complaints without fear of retaliation or intimidation.
E8.2 Establish an adequate and effective worker-engagement and consultation process, enabling management to encourage participation and feedback through appropriate channels.
E9) Audits and assessments
E9.1 Establish an adequate and effective self-assessment process to periodically review conformance with the EICC Code and compliance with applicable laws and regulations covering Labor, Health and Safety, Environment and Ethics.
E10) Corrective action process
E10.1 Establish an adequate and effective process to address EICC Code non-conformances and legal non-compliance identified through internal or external audits, assessments, inspections, investigations and reviews. Include root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive action, and tracking of actions and notices of violation through completion across Labor, Health and Safety, Environment and Ethics.
E11) Documentation and records
E11.1 Maintain adequate and effective documentation and records for Labor, Health and Safety, Environment and Ethics management systems, with appropriate access controls to protect privacy.
E12) Supplier responsibility
E12.1 Communicate EICC Code requirements to major next-tier suppliers.
E12.2 Establish an effective process to ensure that major next-tier suppliers implement the EICC Code.
