About MCNex Vina

MCNEX is a Korean company known for producing camera modules and automotive reversing-camera components. The company was known for its advanced technology and specialised expertise, strong revenue and substantial market presence in several countries, including Japan, a pioneer in mobile-phone camera production.

MCNEX’s technical and quality credentials included KAS, NET, TS16949 and INOBIS. Manufacturers requiring reliable, stable products provided positive feedback. These historical references should not be read as a list of currently verified certificates or certification bodies.

MCNEX Korea chose Vietnam for investment in a new factory to expand its operations. Drawing on the parent company’s technology and business foundation, MCNEX VINA was established on 28 March 2013 under Investment Certificate No. 0920 43 000087, issued by the Ninh Binh Industrial Zones Authority on the same date.

The company manufactures electronic components, particularly camera modules. The project plan envisaged annual production of 100–150 million products, all for export, and more than 3,000 jobs.

The 2016 EICC consulting project

As a Samsung vendor, MCNex Vina participated in the EICC conformance assessment programme and worked to implement the project.

In October 2016, the company’s management selected ITVC Global to provide EICC consulting for MCNex Vina. The project plan was to complete the project and be ready for assessment in early November 2016.

After the consulting phase, the project targeted a score above 90 at a subsequent assessment and a prospective EICC certificate. This was an expectation, not evidence of an achieved score, certification or current RBA/VAP status.
