Energy audit at Takahata Precision Vietnam

This report records the 2021 project. Figures, practices, factory scale and proposals reflect the survey period; they do not establish the factory’s current status.

The energy audit at Takahata Precision Vietnam Co., Ltd. included a site survey, data collection and measurements at the factory. The project recorded total energy consumption of 1,499 TOE in its dataset.

Existing energy-use practices

• Variable-speed drives had been integrated into the plastic component injection moulding machines.
• The factory used LED lighting.
• The company regularly promoted energy conservation among its staff and workers.

Proposed measures

• Establish an energy management system based on ISO 50001:2018.
• Consider replacing 250 W halogen street lights with 150 W solar-powered LED lights at the locations identified in the proposal.

Monitoring improvement

Implementation requires a clear scope, suitable lighting conditions and a method for monitoring results. The power ratings and consumption figures in this article are project data; they cannot alone establish the benefits achievable at another factory.
