Establishment and development

• Established on 31 August 1958 as “Hai Phong Architecture Company” under the Ministry of Construction.
• Renamed “Hai Phong Construction Company” in August 1973, under the Ministry of Construction.
• Renamed “Construction Company No. 16” in December 1981, under the Ministry of Construction.
• Following the growth of Construction Company No. 16, on 15 March 1996 the Minister of Construction issued Decision No. 270/BXD-TCLD establishing “Bach Dang Construction Corporation” under the Ministry of Construction on the basis of Company No. 16. The decision referred to the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 90/TTg dated 7 March 1994.

• Investment consultancy; construction consultancy, surveys, design and testing.

Main products and services

• Construction of factories; bridges, roads, airports and ports; technical infrastructure for urban areas, industrial parks and export-processing zones; water supply and drainage works; high-rise hotels, apartment blocks, offices, hospitals, sports and cultural facilities.
• Manufacturing and erecting pre-engineered steel buildings of various spans, purlins and colour-coated metal roofing.
• Investment consultancy, surveys, construction design and planning for urban areas, industrial parks and export-processing zones.
• Construction material testing, construction quality inspection through testing, geotechnical drilling and registration/inspection services.

The 2015 consulting project and results

In July 2015, with the confidence of Bach Dang Construction Corporation’s leadership, ITVC began consulting on integrating environmental management with the quality management system under ISO 14001:2004 and ISO 9001:2008.

According to the original report, after three months of implementation, on 19 October 2015 the corporation’s environmental management system was successfully audited by TUV NORD, Germany, and certified to ISO 14001:2004.

The original article described this as an important achievement for ITVC Global’s ISO consulting team.
