LPG quantity, sampling and quality testing

ITVC Global supports clients involved with LPG production, distribution, and terminal storage sites. LPG analytical testing, trace analysis, loss control, and quality control are available during production, storage and cargo custody transfer. LPG testing is run to ASTM and other accepted industry standards.

LPG quantity, sampling and quality testing procedure:

1. Quantity determination:

On vessel:

-          Checking the ship documentation necessary for inspection

-          Checking the vessel condition (trim, list)

-          Checking the LPG liquid level by sliptube

-          Reading the temperature and pressure of LPG in cargo tank on temperature and pressure gauge

-          Calculating the weight of vapure and liquid LPG

-          Repeat the above steps for calculating the weight of LPG after loading/ discharging.

-          Delivery cargo = weight of LPG in tank before discharging/loading - weight of LPG in tank after loading/discharging

On the shore tank:

-          Checking the LPG liquid level by sliptube

-          Reading the temperature and pressure of LPG in cargo tank on temperature and pressure gauge

-          Calculating the weight of vapure and liquid LPG

-          Repeat the above steps for calculating the weight of LPG after loading/ discharging.

-          Delivery cargo = weight of LPG in tank before discharging/loading - weight of LPG in tank after loading/discharging
