RBA Code of Conduct 8.0: effective from January 2024

RBA Code of Conduct 8.0 took effect on 1 January 2024. It sets out social, environmental and ethical expectations for supply chains and is published by RBA for businesses to reference and apply.

How to start reviewing the Code

1. Identify the edition required by your customer.
2. Assign relevant departments to review the requirements within their responsibilities.
3. Compare requirements with actual operations, records and existing controls.
4. Record gaps, assign responsible people and set follow-up deadlines.

Distinguishing the Code from assessment guidance

The Code of Conduct sets out the requirements. Businesses preparing for a VAP assessment should also review the assessment programme's guidance. Links to the VAP and the article on version 8.0.2 appear below.
