Energy audit at NewHope Hanoi – Hai Phong Branch

This report records the 2021 project. Figures, practices, factory scale and proposals reflect the survey period; they do not establish the factory’s current status.

During the energy audit at NewHope Hanoi Co., Ltd. – Hai Phong Branch, the team carried out a site survey, collected data and took measurements at the factory. Total energy consumption recorded for the first nine months of 2021 was 1,391 TOE.

Existing practices

The report recorded variable-speed drives in the raw material feed flow-control system after grinding and in the air compressor system. LED lighting was already used in the factory and offices. These practices provided a starting point for reviewing further energy-efficiency opportunities.

Proposed measures

• Establish an energy management system based on ISO 50001:2018.
• Review the replacement of 160 W halogen lamps with 50 W cylindrical LED lamps with E40 bases at the proposed locations.

From proposals to implementation

These were proposals made during the project. Before investing or changing operations, the company needs to define the scope, technical conditions and monitoring method. The figures reflect the 2021 survey period.
