• Collect relevant vessel records and assess proposed repair work.
• Assist with coordination of repairs and review cost estimates.
• Review repair tenders, invoices and associated expenses.
• Monitor repair progress where included in the scope.
• Prepare a report on findings, evidence and limitations.

Reporting and responsibility

Technical opinions are based on the evidence available during the survey. Any assessment of possible contributing factors or third-party involvement should be distinguished from a final legal determination of liability.
