• Determine cargo quantities in ship tanks and shore tanks.
• Inspect vessel tanks before loading.

• Determine quantities on board before loading (OBQ) and remaining on board after discharge (ROB), using the agreed measurement method.
• Investigate and supervise loss control during delivery, receipt and transfer of liquid cargoes.
• Investigate causes of contamination.
• Inspect waste oils and lubricants.
• Insurance and loss surveys.
• Review tanker operational safety against relevant OCIMF SIRE, CDI or INTERTANKO guidance, or specific customer requirements. The scope and any formal programme requirements must be agreed separately.
