Nondestructive testing (NDT) is an important part of inspection and quality-assurance programmes for industrial projects, including vessel and tank fabrication, pressure piping, power-plant steelwork, offshore structures, steel bridges, hydropower outlets and penstocks, and ship-hull construction and repair.
