Maize inspection and quality testing services

ITVC Global provides professional inspection and testing for maize shipments. Trained inspectors and analysts check maize quality and quantity against the applicable international standards. Services are available at loading and discharge ports according to customer requirements.

Maize inspection services

• Check cargo owner, product name, specifications, weighing, packing, packaging, shipping marks, vessel name, destination port, inspection date, previous cargo carried by the vessel and other shipment details.
• Visually inspect for live insects, toxic seeds and husks. 
• Check maize quality before loading. 
• Check for insects, insect eggs and foreign matter. 
• Supervise procedures under the agreed terms for identifying stored maize.
• Check quality using representative samples. 
• Photograph the inspection process.

Maize sampling

• Sample in accordance with the applicable Gafta No. 124 Sampling Rules. 
• Analyze samples in the laboratory.
• Prepare a composite sample from increments collected during each day of loading or discharge. 
• Collect representative samples from barges, trucks and railway wagons.
• The original article describes sampling from a hold to a depth of 75 feet (75'–0") below the cargo surface. Actual sampling depth and access depend on the equipment, cargo conditions and agreed sampling plan.
