• Rapid field measurements with a Testo 350 where the gas matrix, concentration range and fitted sensors are suitable. CO, CO2 and O2 measurement depends on the instrument configuration; hydrogen and nitrogen must not be presented as standard direct-measurement capabilities of this instrument.

Laboratory gas chromatography and other agreed methods for the following parameters:

• CO, CO2, H2, N2 and O2 concentrations in coal gas
• Water content
• Net heating value as received
• Gross heating value as received
